Mineral filters

Alphanova has always used mineral filters (hence the very light white sheen).The size of the titanium particles used is between 185 and 300 nm. That means the particles are much too large to penetrate the epidermis; instead, they remain on the surface of the skin and act as a barrier against UV rays.

Mineral filters work by creating a protective barrier on the skin, hence the white sheen. They are not designed to penetrate the skin.
